  1. Plan an exciting future. Create a future that excites you, and you will feel positive about life. Even if today is challenging, an exciting future can help you maintain a positive outlook. Plan your future and ensure it motivates and inspires you.

  2. Be successful each day. Ensure you set yourself up for success each day by creating a short to-do list that you can realistically complete. Give yourself the experience of being successful each day, starting with simple tasks such as making your bed and flossing your teeth.

  3. Keep your thoughts positive. Positive thoughts lead to a positive attitude. You have control over your thoughts, so pay attention to them and keep your mind occupied with thoughts that serve you.

  4. Remember your triumphs. If you're feeling down or hopeless, take a few moments to remember all the amazing things you've accomplished. It's easy to forget your achievements, so remind yourself of them often.

  5. Remind yourself that you're making progress. Even if you're struggling in a particular area of your life, you're still making progress. Regardless of how small it may seem, progress is a reason to maintain a positive attitude.

  6. Have something fun to look forward to. Having something to look forward to, such as a movie with a friend or a weekend getaway, can bring positivity to your life.

  7. Eliminate negativity. Negative things can bring you down, so remove as many of them as possible from your life. This can make it easier to find and maintain a positive attitude.

  8. Surround yourself with positive people. Spend time with people who uplift you rather than those who bring you down. Positive people make life easier and more enjoyable.

  9. Forgive yourself. Everyone makes mistakes, and it's important to forgive yourself for yours. Holding a grudge against yourself will only hurt you in the long run.
